Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing center channel JBL has again amazed me with what they are capable off. This center channel is capable of picking up the slightest detail and delivering it to a wide sweet spot regardless of where you sit. Its pure and clear, just the way the sound engineer intended it to sound. I am an avid high end speaker collector and I have yet to find speakers that can rival the JBLs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid performance This completed my Studio surround sound system. This speaker is of great size and matches my 230s,220s and 260P. Very happy with it. Looks nice and seamlessly blends with other speakers. Matching speakers does make a difference. Find myself watching movies already seen with a new experience. Was great buy on sale and free 2 day shipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from JBL - Studio 235C I bought my first Studio 235C late last year and liked what I heard. Nice low end and more importantly a nice smooth high end. I decided to change out the center on a second system in the house and found the 235c was not listed anymore. I tried a 225c and found it to be, not even close. It was returned. The 235c then became listed again on the Harmon site only. Got one and love it also. Sounds a little different, but still quite nice. My systems are all JBL with Control 1 Pro's and a 12 inch woofer. It kicks butt. The rooms are rather small so it all works great. If JBL/Harmon is phasing this model out, it would be a big mistake. The 235c is a very respectable product,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crystal clear sound The center speaker pairs perfectly with the rest of the Studio 2 series. It is remarkably crisp, but does not produce listener fatigue. I would recommend this over the 225C, especially if you are going to be using it as part of a 3.1 or a 5.1 setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I fee like I am setting in my local movie theater. This center channel speaker is awesome! I feel like I am setting right in the middle of our local AMC theater. Outstanding!

Will this work with the SP6II in wall speakers? If so, what else is recommended to finish this setup, other than the receiver?

What jbl center speaker you will recommend for jbl studio 590 speakers?

Asked by: vettefrs
You can use the JBL STUDIO 235C together with the STUDIO 590 speakers, as long as the receiver you're going to connect it to supports 8 ohms as well. But it would be best to have the STUDIO 520C as the center speaker since it belongs to the same series as the STUDIO 590 and has the same 6 ohms rating for impedance.

Can this be a bluetooth hookup or is there a way to get this connected to your phone for parties?

Asked by: Iawilsh8
Studio 235C does not have a Bluetooth feature or capability to connect wirelessly as this will have to plug in using a speaker wire directly to the receiver.

Regarding the port in the back for the driver. Will it have enough room to "breath" with an inch from a wall or can I just put a foam plug in? Thanks

Asked by: Thehhhh
You must have at least 2 - 3 inches of space between the rear of the unit and any shelf or component above the unit. The unit should not be inside a sealed compartment when being used. The unit must be able to breath so there would be no problems in the long run.

Can the rear ports be plugged since I will be putting them about a 1/2" from the wall?

Asked by: Theh
Yes, you can use plugs like a banana plug to put it in the rear port of the Studio 235C.

I have just purchased the studio 235c and wanted to confirm if I use it on my Anthem power amp rated at 225 wpc @ 8ohms. Will that much power at higher volume damage the speaker since the speaker recommended amplifier power is rated at 150 watts max

Asked by: Vijen
Hi! You can definitely use your Studio 235c on your amplifier that is rated at 225watts per channel @ 8 ohms. Just make sure that the volume is not turned up too much all the time, and your Studio 235 will be in good shape.

being as big as it is. its kinda hard to not have it placed all the way back to a wall. how far away from the ports should it be? larry

Asked by: mafosa
From the wall, You can give it a 4-5" space for the wires to go through. this should be enough space for your hands if there's some fine adjustments needed with the wires.
